- ½ cup sour cream
For the glaze
- 1 ½ tablespoon granulated sugar

Step by step tutorial
Position your rack at the center of the oven. You then need to heat it to 350 degrees Fahrenheit to melt the butter. Place aside a 12-cup Bundt pan and flour.
Take a small saucepan and mix cocoa powder, butter, and water. Place the saucepan over medium heat and stir until the entire mixture is well combined and melted. You can then remove it from the heat and place it aside.
Take a large bowl and whisk flour, baking soda, and sugar. Add about half of the melted butter into the mixture and continue whisking until it is thoroughly blended. However, note that the mixture will be thick during this step.
You then need to add the remaining butter into your large bowl and continue whisking. Ensure that you also add the eggs one at a time. You have to keep on whisking the entire time to ensure that the mixture is well blended. Finally, add the vanilla extract and sour cream to your mixture. Do not stop whisking until the entire contents of your large bowl are smooth and well blended.
Scarpe the butter and place it on your already prepared Bundt pan. You then need to bake for about 45 minutes. Note that you can insert a toothpick into the center of your cake before starting the baking process. You will know your cake is ready when the toothpick comes out clean.
You can then make the chocolate glaze while your cake is cooling. Place the corn syrup and chopped chocolate in a medium bowl. Combine the sugar and cream in a saucepan and place over medium heat. Stir your mixture until the sugar is dissolved and the cream is hot. You can then pour the hot cream on top of the chocolate and whisk for a smooth finish.
Generously pour the glaze over your chocolate cake. Ensure that you let the contents drip down on the sides. Proceed to cut your cake into pieces and serve your hungry family.
